The Super Falcons of Nigeria made history again winning their 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Falcons of Nigeria started slowly with the players being shaky giving the host Atlas Lionesses of Moroccans to pounce on them by netting in the 12th minutes and 24 minutes.
The Moroccans took charge of the first half with their two quick goals in the first half.
The second half started and the Super Falcons of Nigeria started like a firehouse gaining control of the game.
The Moroccans looks lost as they conceded a penalty which Esther Okoronkwo stood to take to reduce the deficit.
Esther Okoronkwo minutes later moved pass the Moroccan defence with a quick run setting up the assist for Folashade Ijamilusi to put Nigeria level.
The Super Falcons at the moment were almost given the shock of their lives as Tosin Demehin was caught up in the moment for an handball offense.
The center referee blew to the penalty spot but the decision was over turned by VAR after consulting the Video assistant referee and that canceled the penalty.
Minutes later the Super Falcons got a freekick almost close to the Moroccans territory, Esther Okoronkwo took the freekick and sends the ball deep into Moroccan half to set to the winner with Jennifer Echegini converting brilliantly with a finish to bring the hope alive.
The Super Falcons made history coming from two goals to win the double digit title and becoming the most decorated female team in Africa.
