Rivers United Drawn in Tough CAF Champions League Group A

Nigeria’s sole representative in the CAF Champions League, Rivers United, have been drawn in Group A alongside RS Berkane of Morocco, Pyramids FC of Egypt, and Power Dynamos of Zambia.

The draw pits Rivers United against some of the continent’s toughest sides, including defending champions Pyramids FC and CAF Confederation Cup winners RS Berkane.

Rivers United, led by coach Finidi George, qualified for the group stage for the first time after overcoming Mozambique’s Black Bulls in the preliminary round. The team will be looking to build on their impressive 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup campaign, where they reached the quarter-finals.
